Job Title:
Operations and Maintenance Manager
Job Purpose:
Our client is seeking a Solar O&M Manager responsible for ensuring the reliable performance, uptime, and efficiency of all installed solar PV, generator, and cube systems under the company’s management. The role involves monitoring system performance through digital platforms, planning and coordinating maintenance activities, and responding promptly to faults and alarms. The Solar O&M Manager will also be responsible for reporting, data analysis, and driving continuous improvement in overall system operations.
Key Responsibilities:
System Monitoring & Performance Management
- Monitor system performance daily via monitoring platforms (e.g., Sungrow, Victron, Atess, Solis, Sunsynk, DSE Webnet).
- Identify underperformance, faults, and alarms, and initiate corrective actions.
- Analyse system data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and potential risks.
- Maintain accurate records of system performance, interventions, and resolutions.
Operations & Maintenance Coordination
- Plan, schedule, and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure timely resolution of technical issues to maximise system uptime.
- Coordinate with field technicians, subcontractors, and suppliers for repairs, spare parts, and RMAs, including tracking and follow-up.
- Implement best practices to ensure system safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare regular performance reports for management and clients in line with SLA requirements.
- Document all incidents, faults, and corrective actions via the energy fault reporting system.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), including uptime, yield, and response times.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranties, O&M contracts, and relevant industry standards.
- Enforce health and safety protocols during all maintenance and repair activities.
- Stay up to date with regulatory changes and technical standards.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding O&M-related matters.
- Provide technical insights and recommendations for system optimisation.
- Support the sales team with technical input for O&M solutions and offerings.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in solar PV operations, maintenance, or technical management. Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, generators and monitoring software.
